I love autumn. Maybe it’s the cooler weather, the color on the trees, or football season. I really think the key to my love of the season is Thanksgiving. It’s all about remembering our blessings, gathering together with friends and family, and, yep — watching football. The best flavor of the season for me revolves around pumpkins… pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, the works.
Since I can’t wait until Thanksgiving to start enjoying the spicy flavors and aromas of pumpkin pie, I love to bake pumpkin bread. It’s great with coffee in the morning, and what better way to express your thankfulness to a friend or colleague than with a fresh, moist loaf of this amazing bread?
And since I’m so thankful for you, my readers, customers, and friends; I wanted to share this simple recipe and a fun DIY printable label you can use to create your very own holiday gift!

Wrap and gift this yummy bread
Materials
- loaf of pumpkin spice bread (recipe here)
- printed labels (get them here)
- waxed paper or parchment paper
- kraft paper or other wrapping paper
- baker’s twine or pretty string
Tools
- scissors
Instructions
1. Cut the labels out with scissors and set aside.
2. I like to wrap my pumpkin bread in a layer of parchment paper to help keep the bread nice and moist. Cut a piece of waxed paper or parchment paper large enough to wrap around your loaf of pumpkin bread (leave 2-3 inches at each end). Place the loaf top side down on the paper, and wrap around the loaf (paper should overlap).
3. Fold the ends in, making a little triangle as shown. Repeat for the other side.
4. Tuck the edges in, turn the loaf over, and tie some baker’s twine around the wrapped loaf. Place the wrapped loaf on a piece of kraft wrapping paper and fold the edges in.
5. Wrap the kraft paper around the loaf so that the seam is in the middle of the top of the loaf. Place a personalized label on the seam to seal.
And, voila! A quick, easy, and beautiful homemade gift!
